Visiting Mesquite Groves Aquatic Center in Chandler had been in my list of places to go ever since we moved to Arizona. We finally made it happen and I’m so glad we did!

The facility was filled with families having fun and teens hanging out with their friends. My little ones spent most of their time playing on the kid structure with water features and a slide. The lifeguards were very attentive and made sure the older kids stayed off the slide. There was also a fun whirlpool that we went in several times that swirled us around and around. Again, the lifeguards were great about limiting how many were in there at a time and watching the swimmers.

My older kids spent their time relaxing in the lazy river, going down the slides, and jumping off the diving board.

Once my little ones were worn out, we got a treat from the food truck on site and then sat in the shade to rest. The entrance fee is $1 for kids and just over $2 for adults. Such a low price for hours of fun really can’t be beat!
Helpful Advice
- Be sure to wear water shoes because the concrete gets very hot! We had to wait in line for a few minutes for the lazy river and we were very glad to have shoes.
- Bring lots of ice water since the drinking fountain water is pretty warm.
- I wasn’t sure what the food policy was so I didn’t bring any but the sign at the entrance said small coolers were allowed and I wished I had brought some snacks.
